Sometimes we don’t realize that we’re holding on to negative energies that are blocking us and are in need of letting go of – like old beliefs that do not serve us, old thoughts, issues, anger, all of this stuff is blocking us from filling ourselves up with good positive energies.
When we’re filled with negative energies we have no room for anything else. Feelings of joy, love, wonder, harmony all have no place where to plant themselves and flourish.
To create the conditions of a fertile landscape we must regularly tend to the soil of our soul. Just like we need to regularly tend to our garden and pull out the weeds that keep on growing, we need to tend to the inner landscape of our hearts and weed out what no longer serves our highest good. Caring for ourselves in this way keeps us open and creates the space for something better.
Give yourself time to sit and reflect on your inner landscape – what do you need to weed out? What thoughts are you holding on to that are creating an imbalance in your life and blocking you?
Today is the perfect day to start. Write out a list of what you can let go of.
What issues?
What fears can you let go of?
What bad feelings, what argument are you still clinging to?
What resentments are you still holding on to?
What can you leave out of your life?
When you’re done look at each one, acknowledge them, and tell them you no longer need them, let them know you’re letting them go now. Forgive yourself for holding on to them. You can do a little ceremony of letting go. (another blog post)
Make a commitment to yourself to consciously become aware of what you’re letting take root inside of you – remember that what you’re growing in your landscape is what is ruling and regulating and shaping your every day.
Clearing out and letting go of what doesn’t serve you, will open the gates and set you free. It will create space within your heart and open you up for greater and brighter energies to fill you.
If you feel that you can, come and share in the comments below the negative energies you’re letting go out of yourself.
Blessings of brighter energies

Clicked over from August Break and am pleasantly surprised by how uplifting and encouraging this post is. It can be overwhelming to let go of things that are holding us down from being all that we can. I mean – you are practically letting go of a part of what makes you you. Your post is a nice reminder that sometimes it’s good to let go and do an “inner cleaning”. Sometimes that is just what we need to better ourselves for the future! I’ll definitely be keeping this post in mind as I go throughout the rest of my day and consider what “inner cleansing” needs to happen in my life. 🙂

Thank you so much for your comment. Letting go of things that we are holding on to, and like you say, these things are “a part of what makes you you” is not the easiest, but I did it and so can everyone. One way of looking at the things you’re holding onto is to ask yourself, where did you get it from? Is it really something your own or is it something you adapted from someone else and made it your own? And remember when you let go, you are making room for greater and better.
With love ❤

Yes, I find that there is always more to uncover and even after clearing, old stuff has a way of sneaking in without my noticing. Thank you for your comment Dal, xoxo
