Stand Up and Shout I LOVE ME!!!

Hello everyone, I’m really excited to share with you another one of my articles, originally published in the February issue of The Inspired Guide magazine (here) page 48.  If you haven’t already read it, hope you enjoy it.

^^^^^^

When I was asked to write about, loving yourself, I was so excited I jumped at the chance and said YES. This is exactly in alignment with my goals this year, write/coach about manifesting and learning to love yourself.

And then I went blank, I shut down, I started and wrote and deleted it all a hundred times over.  Nothing seemed right or good enough, I couldn’t get the words out.  My inner critic, always looking to protect me, was hard at work – who do you think you are? You don’t know enough.  You don’t have a college degree.  This is too hard, let’s watch a Hallmark movie.  I even considered telling the publisher that I can’t write this. But my inner guide was pushing me to write.  I manifested this for myself, the Universe was showing up for me and all my old fears were showing up too.  I fell back into my old story. Hide and don’t let anyone see you.  Just say you don’t know.

to love yourselfMy parents were Holocaust survivors, I grew up hearing of the horrors they lived through.  In their effort to protect me, they unknowingly instilled all their fears into me.  As a child I didn’t understand the meaning of the words, but I felt their pain.  Each word my mother spoke landed inside the very core of me.  I internalized beliefs and fears about me, life and God that didn’t belong to me.  And I lived by them.

You never know how or when your old beliefs can show up, and your old story can take a hold of you and strip you of self-confidence, of any thoughts of being enough, and all the inner work you did disappears. Like out of nowhere my, “you’re not good enough” beliefs about myself were playing in my head.  After a couple of days of struggling with this, I finally asked my inner guide for help in my journal. The answer I got was “be daring, the words you’re writing come from the deepest part of love inside you, they are Spirit and this is part of your journey so write it, it’s ok you are safe and protected and loved…Don’t be afraid.”

So here I am, “daring” revealing that – to love yourself is part of the journey.   Take small steps, one step at a time if you have to, but get to know who you are, be rooted in your own heart.  I believe that part of our purpose in life is to get to know ourselves, to peel away all the false beliefs we take on from childhood.  From our parents, society, from our culture, and to find ourselves.

When I was 50, I had a spiritual awakening, in one moment the Universe showed herself to me and I knew everything and I knew nothing all at the same time.  From that moment on began my journey to find me, God, and what life is about.  Every time I was able to excavate a belief that I was buried under, or bust through a wall I built around me to protect myself, I felt a freedom I had been longing for all my life.  I started to see me, life, and God in a new light, my light.  I was slowly unlocking myself from limiting beliefs that kept me small and opening to a higher version of me.  And somewhere along the path of transforming, I also started to love who I was becoming.

Loving myself has been the magick key that has given me the courage to dream big.  It’s helped me to trust and believe more in myself.  To live with intention, and be committed and honor my life.

I believe the greatest gift we can give to ourselves is to love our-self.  It’s our responsibility to get to know who we are in this life.  To love, honor and cherish our self wholeheartedly.  When we love our self, we are powerful beings emanating from within healing love energy, out into the Universe.

4 Tips to start loving yourself:

1 – Write it down.  When fears stop you, write them down.  They may not seem so scary on paper.  Ask where did you get this from?  Do you really believe it?   Change it to something true for you.

2 – Become conscious of your thoughts, they are the nourishment you’re feeding yourself with.  Every time you have a thought that puts you down, weed it out, replace it with one that honors you.

3 -Celebrate you, do one thing that makes you happy every day.  Sit quietly savoring a latte.  Read a book on your lunch hour.  Buy yourself flowers.  Wear your favorite earrings while cleaning.

4 – Start a gratitude journal and write three things you’re grateful for – about yourself – every day.  I’m grateful I accepted a compliment without putting myself down.  I’m grateful I gave myself luxury thoughts today…

With the right mindset and a willingness, you will create positive changes.

Blessings

pink flower

Go gently with yourself today.

Ask yourself how you want to feel.  What would make you feel pampered today?

Put away your to-do list and give yourself a little rest, it’s OK to do nothing sometime. 🙂

I was inspired by the lovely Sarah Jensen today, I’m doing a journaling course with her, you can find her over here.

I’d love to hear from you, how are you pampering yourself today?

Blessings

Supercharge Your Day with These 3 Simple Steps.

Hello, Happy New Year!!! I Hope you had a wonderful New Year, mine was a quiet evening at home watching Hallmark movies 🙂

Can you believe it?  This is not just a new year but also a new decade, WOW!  I wanted in my first 2020 blog post, to share with you the one thing that I learned from the past decade that has created magick in my every day, and that’s – the way I start my day.

You know what?  I learned that you do have a say so in how your day unfolds, and you do have a say so in how you are willing to feel.  Every day you have the choice, you can start your day in a way that will uplift you, motivate you, inspire you, support you, fill you with joy…Of course sometimes life just happens, and then you get to decide how you handle it.

supercharge your day

I didn’t always know this.  I used to get up and first thing turn on the TV and listen to the news while everything from the previous day and before, was playing over and over again in my head.  What someone said or did, what was on my to do list, the meeting I didn’t want to go to.  Look at emails and social media. My day was up and running from the first second in the morning.  I felt stressed, overwhelmed and upset, right from the start of the day, and my day mostly followed in that way.

My morning routine now starts very different, no news, no emails, no social media, no thinking of anything that upsets me, that’s my rule.  First thing in the morning is my precious, cherished – time for me.  I am present to me.  I give love to me.  I write in my journal and I set the tone of what I expect today.  And I learned this from Pam Grout, every morning I declare that something wonderful, magical, awesome is happening for me today.  And amazingly, every day something awesome happens.

Here are my three simple steps that will supercharge your day:

1 – Put a smile on your face as soon as you wake. A smile tricks your brain into happiness.

2 – Say three loving words to yourself. I love me.  I am great.  I am divine.  I believe in myself.  I am good.  I am courageous…Say any three words that will make you feel good.  If you can’t say three, then start with one word and go from there.

3 – Declare that you’re having an amazing day today and everything is working out perfect for you. Think of how you want to feel, and envision how the day will unfold.  If you have a meeting scheduled at work, see yourself leaving the meeting smiling and happy because everything went great.

And yes, I know I said 3, but for me journal writing is a non-negotiable super power, so I’m including it.

4 – Write it down. Writing down your intention/vision/feelings packs a lot of power.

So here you have it, my 3 simple steps I do every morning that supercharges my days.

It’s January, in a brand new year and brand new decade. Time to start something new. Make time for you.  Set the tone, place the intention, envision it, feel it, write it, and –

Supercharge your day.

I’d love to hear from you.

Blessings

What a Kind Word Can Do

I don’t think this will be a surprise to anyone, but giving away a kind word is free.  A positive kind word will definitely inspire an inner shift in how we feel.  Just think of how you felt the last time someone gave you a compliment out of the blue, telling you – great job…you look beautiful…I bet that felt pretty good, It most likely lit you up and put a smile on your face.  🙂

kind word

A positive kind word can change someone’s day or even days.  So, let’s dole it out, let’s give it freely from our heart, it’s free, especially now during the holiday season when we’re all so busy rushing about trying to get it all done, and maybe feeling a bit stressed with all that is on our to do lists.  Receiving a kind word can uplift our spirit and create a sense of well-being.  Just a simple – thank you – coming from the heart can touch someone in a special way and transform their day.

And you never know, your kind word may have a ripple effect, that person now may turn around and do the same, and change someone else’s day.

So let’s do it, my kind word for you lovelies is – You are AMAZING!!!

Kindest Blessings

December is all about Being in the Moment

December is all about being in the moment.

Finding that one moment in the day that brings you joy, that slows you down for an instant, that makes you feel the wonder.  That you set aside your to do lists, stop the rushing about and just enjoy – being in the moment – Breathe…

birds30

This is my – in the moment – today.  I opened the shade and WOW!

Every morning I’m blessed with the magnificence of these birds, I say hello my friends, and we greet the day together.  But for some reason this morning it just hit me in a special way.  I stood there staring at them, with a huge smile on my face, just watching them for a moment longer than I usually do.  And it came to me that I’m making December a month of stopping, even if it’s just for a moment, and breathing in the wonder of this amazing Universe.

Join me in making December a month of being in the moment and finding a WOW every day for yourself.  Set the intention for it and it will show itself to you.  You may also want to keep a journal of the WOW you find every day, so at the end of the month you can look at all the wonder moments you had.

I’d love to hear from you, love to know your WOW, feel free to post in the comments every day if you wish.

Have a magnificent December everyone.

Blessings

The Secret of Affirmations

“Affirmations are the beginning point of change.” ~ Louise Hay

I wholeheartedly believe in positive affirmations being transformational.

2affirmI first learned about affirmations from Louise Hay, and to be honest at first I was afraid to say them.  Saying positive, uplifting, encouraging, or healing words to myself felt like something taboo.  I didn’t know it then but, by making that conscious decision to say them, even while I was filled with fear, taboo fear, I was beginning on a journey of healing and changing my life in ways that I couldn’t even imagine because I started to tap into the law of the universe in a positive way.

As I grow my affirmations change to support me where I am at.  I change words, I let go of words, and not a day goes by without me affirming who I am, what I am, and how I am.  To me an affirmation is a declaration that I affirm about myself.  I’m telling the universe, this is the truth of who I am, and what I want, and how I see myself.  And then I believe wholeheartedly in the magick of the affirmation I’m declaring.  This is the big secret behind every affirmation, no affirmation will work if you say it, but don’t believe in it, if you say – money flows to me easily and magically – and inwardly you believe completely the opposite, this will never work, guaranteed it will not.  And of course you have to take action here and do the work, you can’t just sit on your bed and say an affirmation and expect fire works to go off.

Affirmations have helped me to overcome challenging, self sabotaging, negative thoughts.  Realize dreams.  Change negative energy at work.  Help me heal, eliminate stress…they have been transformational.

Magick and miracles have appeared in my life because of affirmations and they can make a difference in your life too.

I’d love to hear from you.

Blessings
