Why You Should Think Good Thoughts

I feel so blessed to have been visited by Abraham-Hicks, in my dream last night.(according to Esther & Jerry Hicks is a group of entities interpreted by Esther, they describe themselves as “a group consciousness from the non-physical dimension”)  The word they brought to me is  “thoughts” I’ve never dreamed of Abraham before, so I’m feeling that this is very special and magical, a message I’m being guided to share.

Abraham is reminding us to pay attention to our thoughts, they are ruling our life, and our well-being.  When our thoughts are not in alignment with our inner divinity, we feel out of sorts because we’re not in harmony with who we truly are.

So, during this season of busy busy, where it’s easy to be overtaken by the outside hustle, being conscious of our own self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.

Part of that self-care are the thoughts that we allow to run rampant in our mind.  Make a conscious effort to pay attention to them, are they thoughts that are creating harmony or discord?  Let go of all thoughts that are creating havoc for you, the ones that are making you feel rushed, stressed, and overwhelmed.  Remember you’re in control of how you feel –

Navigate this season with thoughts that are making you feel calm, in control and filling you with joy.

Changing your thoughts will magically change your days and align you with inner harmony.

Shine a Light Onto Yourself

Shining a light onto yourself, saying uplifting encouraging words to yourself every day, seeing yourself in a positive way is an act of self-love and it will change your life.

Make 2019 your year of shining your light on you.  Give yourself credit for your accomplishments, let go of criticism and being hard on yourself for what you haven’t accomplished, or for mistakes you’ve made, and give yourself a break.  Change it all around with a daily pep talk to yourself.

It’s very easy to give someone else a pep talk, to praise someone for a job well done, for accomplishing something, and most of us don’t even think about it twice – hey, that’s great I knew you could do it.  So proud of you.  Job well done…But, we don’t think of showering ourselves with the same words of praise. – Yeeeaaaahhhh!!! I got this…I did it…So proud of myself…We hide away and shy away from our own self.

Giving yourself a pep talk will transform how you feel.  It will elevate you and uplift you and encourage you.  If it feels strange to talk to yourself in that way, one option is to say it to yourself in the third person, in other words talk to yourself as if you would to someone else.

If you’re in a position of a leader, when you’re leading from a good place, from a place where you yourself feel what you’re trying to lead – your pep talk to staff will have that much greater an impact on them.

So, in 2019 make it a habit to give yourself a daily pep talk, because you as much as anyone, needs to hear your own “pep talk” words.

You Are the Magic Wand of Your Life

Today say YES

YES to your life.

YES to what your soul is calling you.

YES to a new beginning.

YES to your dreams.

You are the magic you’re looking for.

You have the wisdom inside of you.

You hold the power.

Opening up to my light and letting it shine, has been the hardest for me.  I had to first get rid of so many obstacles, tear down so many walls, walls that I had built around me for protection.  Climb impossible mountains.  Step out of a lifetime of fear that kept me trapped inside more fear.  And the thing is that it wasn’t really my fear, I hadn’t really experienced it, this was my parents fear handed down to me like a precious heirloom.  They were holocaust survivors, they had lived through unimaginable horrors, they lost everyone they loved and everything they owned, and in order to protect me from the horrors of this world, they filled me with their fear that became imbedded into every cell of me from the moment I was born.

As a young child I didn’t understand the words, but I could feel my mothers emotions, I could feel her pain every day when she spoke of her life in concentration camps.  I could feel her anguish, I felt her tears.  I didn’t know how to deal with these emotions, I didn’t understand the pain I was feeling and I wanted it to stop, I wanted to run away, and so I buried myself away, I hid myself so deep within that I almost didn’t find myself.

The journey may not be easy but every day you have the power to decide, to move out of, to let go of what doesn’t feel good, what doesn’t serve your highest best. To open a new door within and walk through it. To break a habit, to learn something new, to start fresh. You have the power to change a thought, to inspire, encourage and uplift yourself.  To raise your consciousness. To ask why am I holding on to this? To live in light, to give love to you.

You hold the power to nourishing your fears or nourishing your dreams.  Which do you want to give your power to? Because whichever one you give it to, that one will flourish and grow and be your magic.

You have the choice – you are your own magic wand.

Blessed Samhain

I love celebrating the different seasons, and right now I feel a very strong calling towards connecting with Mother Earth and my ancestors through ritual and ceremony.

Giving thanks, honoring and celebrating our ancestors, bringing their spirit forward is a powerful way to connect with the spirits in this world and the otherworld.

With Samhain we mark the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, opening up a deep season of inner beauty.  I wanted to share with you my altar of celebrating my ancestors and honoring them.

I have Our Lady of Guadalupe who is with me always. This is a picture of my mother and father, and I am in the picture eating an apple, I was 18 months old here. I don’t have any photos of my family, they were all killed during the holocaust, but I can feel their spirit present here with me. I have an apple on my altar because my mother loved apples and ate one every day. I have a small stone (I stole from the cemetery, but don’t tell anyone) from my fathers grave site. I also have fresh rosemary to remove negativity and bring in Mother Earth.  A white feather I found outside just a few weeks ago, and a few of my crystals.

Last night my beautiful, precious Labradorite fell out of my hand and chipped a piece and I’m feeling so upset.  This was really not planned this way, it just happened that this morning I had a conversation with the beautiful Lori A Andrus, about something unrelated, but knowing her background i just had to ask, she’s a practitioner of crystal Shamanism, an artist, she hosts the Chrystal Shaman Life podcast, and if you haven’t heard it, you must, you can find her over here She told me the stone is supporting me, maybe there’s something I need to let go of and that I should ask for clarity and blessings.  I will be doing a ritual today to ask for clarity and I’m anxious to see what comes forward for me, what messages I will receive.

My altar will probably evolve a bit more, but I hope that, if you are not already creating an ancestral altar, that you are inspired to start one.

The Message of Clarity

Yes, how perfect for “Clarity” to show up today reminding us to clear out negative energies that are holding us back from knowing the truth of who we are, and living a sweeter life.  As we near the end of this year, it’s a really good practice to get “clarity” and ready ourselves to open to and bring into ourselves higher vibrational energies.

To open up to a higher level of consciousness we have to let go of the lower energies that are holding us back and blocking us.

Some of the lower energies that are stopping us are fear, and anger, and pain, that we carry around with us, sometimes for years.  A question to ask is – why am I holding on to this fear?  What is stopping me from letting go of it?  How can I be if I release it?  How will I feel without fear, or pain, or anger that I’ve been carrying around?  Start slowly and gently, with compassion for yourself, you can do it, you can let go and release, and free your body, your mind, and your soul.

The more we clear out these negative energies the more “clarity” we will gain and that opens the doorway to living in higher vibrations of consciousness.

And as we reach higher levels of consciousness we find the beauty of who we truly are.

Why Create a Mindful Pause in Your Day

I love to bring a moment of mindful pause into my day, purposefully being aware of what’s around me. Stepping into a moment of pause, is filling me with joy and beauty.

It’s raining here today and when I went out to get the garbage can I noticed how beautiful and vibrant my plants and stones looked all wet from the rain.  It’s as if they’ve been infused with a new energy and beauty. It made my whole body connect with the beauty in front of me.

This was my mindful pause yesterday morning, I noticed the beauty of this tree against the sky, in the parking lot coming out of the store.

tree7Creating a mindful pause and stopping for just a moment to take in the beauty that surrounds you every day, is a great way to let yourself drift into the moment and allow it to fill you with magic, and take you out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary of the everyday. You can make it an intention to mindfully find and admire something every day. A tree, a flower, a bench, a person, the way the sky looks, a child playing, the chirping of the birds, a swing in a park,…it can be anything, a rock on the ground.  But whatever it is for you, make a mindful pause part of your must for the day.  It will create a positive change in the way you feel.

I was going to write about my new word mindfulness, and I will, but today I wanted to share with you, what my word has already started to teach me.  For me, this is a practice I intend on continuing, sprinkling my days with mindful moments, that fill me with magic, joy and love.
