Do We Need External Validation

The greatest gift that we can give to ourself is to know ourself and believe in our own self-worth.  I think that’s one of our purposes in this life, to grow within and uncover the layers and layers to get to the core of who we are, believe and know our true authentic selves.

How much do you hold yourself back because you don’t believe in your ability?

Too often we have a great idea but we don’t unfold it because we fear that it’s not good enough.  We fear rejection or criticism, and our ideas and dreams never come to light.  We disempower ourselves and doubt our own self-wroth, we sit and wait for that validation, for someone to come and tell us how wonderful we are, how brilliant our ideas are.  We yearn for that outside confirmation that will give us that go ahead sign, yes you can do it validation, before we dare to go after what we want or share our dreams with the world.   And yes, it’s great when others validate us and affirm our self-worth and tell us how wonderful we are, that’s all good and great, take it, thank them but that should not be what validates us.  Our validation should be from within ourselves, we need to know it in our own hearts, in our bones, that’s where our power comes from, that’s where the magic lies.

We are sacred beings and we are worthy of all that our heart wants and desires.  We’re a star within the cosmos, we each have great value and we each are worthy, just as we are.  We need to not only know that, but embody it, believe it, we are the miracle we’re looking for.

When we know our own self worth we are empowered with our own self validation.
