How to Nourish You

Your life is a gift, it’s something to cherish and take care of.

You’re made up of body, mind and soul and each part while being an entire whole onto itself, is a part of what makes up – you.  When you concentrate on one part over another you can become unbalanced, out of whack, and you can feel depleted and out of energy.

Nourishing all of you equally creates a well balanced frame that can support you.

MIND – Be mindful of the seeds you plant in the garden of your mind. Be mindful of the thoughts you allow to fester and grow.  They can either uplift and encourage, give you strength and insight or they can tear you down.  Remember to weed out the negative that can keep you from being the soul you came here to be and give the gifts you came here to give.  Weed out the small thoughts that are growing and hanging around.  Don’t water them.  Pull them out

BODY – Live mindful of the nourishment that you feed your body. Exercise regularly, and guess what?  It doesn’t have to be a rigorous work out, but our bodies were meant for movement – dance, run, walk around your neighborhood, lift your arms up high and back down a few times. Do whatever you can. Go outside let the sun touch your skin, sit outside and breath in the air, feel the wind touch your face. Give your body some love, tell it thank you for supporting you, tell your body you love it. Feed it nourishing thoughts of love and caring. Eat healthy. I love to buy locally grown (organic when I can) vegetables and fruits and know that not only am I feeding my body healthy nourishment, but I’m also supporting our local farmers.

SOUL – Spend some time in sacred space every day. Create a daily ritual that will connect you with the Divine and with your higher self. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, it doesn’t have to take up tons of time, just a few minutes sitting in contemplation of the Divine, repeating a mantra, giving thanks, writing in your journal all of these can be sacred moments that bring joy to your being and connect you to a higher love.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.  Come and share your routine for nourishing your life.

Create!

Every minute is an opportunity to create something new.

To change what we don’t like or want.

To let go of what doesn’t serve our highest good.

To open to receive.

To give.

To be grateful.

To heal.

To love.

Every Minute is an opportunity to – begin again.

To free ourselves of our limiting thoughts and embrace our un-limited wonder.

Is Your Heart Open

Opening up to the Divine Mystery has been my prayer from that first moment that spark inside me ignited – and all I’ve wanted to do since is stand on the tallest of mountains and from the deepest of oceans and shout God’s glory out into the world.

This was 19 years ago and I have been chasing that mystery ever since.

Things have evolved and transformed since that first moment of awakening.  About four years ago Our Divine Holy Mother entered my life in A BIG WAY and she hasn’t let go.  I’ve been immersed in Her energy and yearning for Her ever since, wanting to get closer and deeper into Her love.

While praying to Our Holy Mother the other day and asking – what do I need to know right now, the message that I received was

“Open your heart”

I didn’t know my heart was closed until I felt those words spoken inside of me.

What do I need to do to open my heart?

How do I open my heart?

Surrender –  That’s my answer.  When I have fully and totally opened my heart that’s when surrender can happen.  Surrender into the Divine within.

What I’m realizing now is that every time I’m at the end of a journey, when I’m all the way at the edge, in order to be able to take that next big step, I need to open my heart wider to move forward, to be able to cross that threshold and surrender in a greater way.

This constant evolution of opening my heart and surrendering is part of my journey.  Sometimes it’s so easy to connect to be open and feel Her and hear Her and yet at other times it all eludes me.  Why can’t I keep my heart open all the time?  Why can’t I surrender?  What is it that stands in my way, what limits me?  Is it fear?  Is it my thoughts?  Is it my ego not wanting to let go?  Is it me unable to give up control?

I have questions but I don’t have any answers.  All I can hope for is that I follow my inner nudgings that lead me to Her, my Mistress.

I started a 30 day devotional to our Holy Mother, I don’t know where this will take me, but I hope to have an open heart and surrender into her guidance. To give up and let go and fall into her embrace.

Is your heart open?  What does surrender look like to you?  Come and share your thoughts, join the discussion, love to hear from you.

Burst of Inspiration

I nourish myself with love today

Look for love in your day

Give yourself loving thoughts and loving words

Draw a heart and place it on your fridge

Find one thing to love about yourself today

sKRWFeiHjoenWU1r.jpg

Write the word LOVE on a sticky note and place it on your bathroom mirror, on the door so you can see it on your way out, the dashboard in your car, on your computer, on your fridge, place it on your night stand next to your bed

Make one healthy food choice today

Give yourself a hug

Buy yourself a small present

Take a moment and have a hot cup of tea and  just sit and reflect on your wonderful self

Remember you are divine

Dance in your living room for no reason

Laugh

Sing

Wash your body with love

Buy yourself flowers for no reason

Smile at a stranger

When you love yourself you are automatically giving out loving energy into the universe
