Wishing You an Amazing 2017!

I wanted to end this year with some really creative ideas, some inspiring thoughts, say some things that are very deep and clever…but the truth is that I can’t think of anything LOL.

So instead here’s a short list of a few of the books that I read this year that I really, really liked.

The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level by Gay Hendricks

Everyday Witchcraft: Making Time for Spirit in a Too-Busy World by Deborah Blake

The Second Half of Life: Opening the Eight Gates of Wisdom by Angeles Arrien

When the Heart Waits: Spiritual Direction for Life’s Sacred Questions by Sue Monk Kidd

What I’m reading right now –

Uncharted: The Journey Through Uncertainty to Infinite Possibilities by                          Colette Baron Reid

You Are Woman, You Are Divine: The Modern Woman’s Journey Back to the Goddess by Renee Starr

Some new stuff for 2017

I personally feel as though I’ve been transformed and I’m stepping out of an old energy that now no longer fits me and stepping into a new higher level of consciousness.

My word for 2017 is “commitment” (more on this later)

A couple of weeks ago I read about Labradorite and I immediately felt drawn to it.  It holds the power for awakening the magic mystical psychic powers within, so this is my meditation/writing crystal that I am holding with me for this new year.   And I signed up for The Year of Me 2017 with Nicole Cody, I love her blog Cauldrons and Cupcakes.  To work with The Year of Me planner she encourages you to choose a gratitude stone. I have a desert landscape outside my house and I have river rocks and other stones that I’m not sure of what they are.  But when I was looking for my gratitude stone this particular one caught my eye and I had to pick it up.  I’m not sure if this will be my gratitude stone but, when I hold it I feel very grounded and connected with Mother Earth, and so it’s with me.

My oracle cards that I feel very inspired by and connected to at the moment is the Connected and Free, The Alchemist’s Oracle and these are the two cards that jumped out at me today.  And there will definitely be Tarot cards in 2017.

Thank you my lovely friends wishing you

Health, Happiness, and Prosperity for you and your family

may all your dreams come true, and more…

Happy New Year!!!

Edges

Life always asks us to come to the edge and it’s always up to us if we’re going to let go and fly off… or stand there enveloped by fear imprisoned inside our own thoughts, those ones that keep us enslaved in our past.

edge shoes.jpeg

Yes, we all have gone through emotional or physical abuse, had some horrific experiences, maybe some of us more than others, but we always have a choice – do we want to allow that what happened in the past to rule and regulate us in the now, in this present moment, as we stand here on the edge of a new beginning?

Or, do we allow ourselves the freedom to let go of it’s grasp and we fly off the edge knowing that God is holding us, moving us forward opening us to new experiences, to a new understanding, to a deeper love, to a new song that is waiting to be born inside us.

Life moves us whether we like it or not, life does not stand still.  We may stand still inside our selves, but life goes on.

We cannot know this new song stirring within, if we are not willing to let go and fly off that edge into the mystery…

Here’s to flying…

Have a Wonderful Weekend

The weather is gorgeous here in the Southwest, it’ll be in the 70’s today.  Time for long sleeves and maybe a thin sweater (yes love that) love the feel of fall.

Red fall flowers.jpeg

I’ve been looking for thin everyday casual sweaters just to wear for when I’m home, something loose and comfortable but I haven’t been able to find anything.  When I was in Target a couple of days ago I got the idea to look in the men’s section and I found the perfect pull over cardigan style sweaters.  They are thin and soft and feel good against my skin and fit me just the way I like it.  (Just hope they don’t shrink in the wash :))

On my walks and runs to the store this past week, I’m still seeing all the beautiful fall colors honoring the  fall season.  And of course I couldn’t resist taking pictures of these beauties.

And yes, pumpkins are still abundant and everywhere I go.  Can’t resist snapping a pic.

And this weekend I’ll be enjoying a good hot cup of Jo(y)

Hope you have a wonderful, fabulous, blessed weekend.

Magical Fall Season

Sometimes I just walk into the unexpected and I feel magical moments.  I got these shots the other day while at the supermarket, it was an unexpected delight.  I was really surprised by the display of fall harvest in the store,  I felt the season for the first time this year.   Living in the desert I don’t get to experience the full richness of the fall season like I did in the Northeast, so seeing all these pumpkins on display brought fall into focus for me, I was reminded of sweaters, fire place, hot tea to warm up and chicken soup for the soul.

The smell, the colors, the start of the holiday season, the letting go of the old, of going within and pumpkin pie.  The one thing I have to have is a slice of pumpkin pie with a dollop of cream on top.  I look forward all year to this delicious treat.  Yummy!  Can’t wait.

I love the way the white pumpkins just shine here.

And these gorgeous flower pots were gracing the front of the store greeting, welcoming me announcing the season.   What an amazing universe we live in.  And the magic continues.

pumpkins-white-orangeAnd the pumpkins are everywhere I go.

pumpkin-cornHere’s a tip about making pumpkin pie.  I was watching Martha Stewart (love her) on the Create channel and she said that she doesn’t use canned anything but the one thing that is allowed and acceptable in her kitchen is canned pumpkin for pie making.  It tastes just the same as if you were to prepare the pumpkin from scratch and this saves you a lot of time.

I hope you enjoyed this post and bring some of the fall magic into your life.  Please feel free to share your favorite thing about this season.  Share your photos if you like love to see them.

I’m Celebrating the End of My 60’s

I’m celebrating – Yes, I’ll be 70 in November and I’m celebrating the end of my 60’s.

My 60’s were all about finding revelation, looking for salvation. Searching for the mystery that grabbed a hold of me.  Opening and getting to the life force within me. Searching for a deeper knowing.  A wisdom that was beckoning from somewhere deep within.

My 60’s have been a decade of pushing, digging, breaking through walls I didn’t even know existed. Walls I built up and kept from the time I was a small child. Tall walls. Big fat hard walls. Walls of steal.

It’s been a decade of finding my way through the thickest of forests. Climbing impossible mountains and swimming in the deepest of oceans, in order to move beyond, to tear down, to unlock the chains that inhibit me and keep me hidden.  To get passed it all, to reach a new place. Little pebbles, stones, big stones and even huge stones, I’ve kicked them all out of the way. I’ve had help from Kali, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Lakshmi, Freya, Holy Mother, my angels, spirits, animal spirit guides, ancestors, Lord Ganesha. And there have been some wonderful teachers along the way and books and courses that I took that helped in unlocking the mystery.

I unearthed, uncovered, met my shadow self head on and got rid of inner critics that were telling me I’m not enough and replaced them with affirmations of glorious self worth, YES.

And finally, finally I’ve torn down the FEAR wall, the biggest one of all. You know, that wall that keeps you from stepping into your power. The wall that stops you dead in your tracks. The one that screams – N O T  G O O D  E N O U G H -written in huge letters all over it. Fear will paralyze you. Fear will keep you from your worth. Fear will keep you in your small place.  It’s that one wall that I held on to the tightest. It took lots of courage, strength and tenacity.  It took trust, faith and surrender, to move it out of the way.

yellow-hallelujah

I’ve learned much along the way; I’ve uncovered much about my inner world. I’ve come to know myself in a way I’ve never before.  In other words I’m celebrating getting through. Finding me. Yes ME!  And the greatest find of all is the revelation of My Goddess.

I Am.  I Am.  I Am.

Ready for a brand new hight of consciousness, a journey that holds promise and new teachings and celebrations.

Celebrate with me, come and share your thoughts.

Blessings
