My Photos at the Chinese New Year Display

Last week when I was in Las Vegas visiting with my son and family, my son took me to see the Chinese New Year display at the Bellagio hotel.  Just amazing!!!

In Chinese astrology the dog occupies the eleventh position in the zodiac and this is the year of the Earth Dog.  If you were born in 2018, 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946 and 1934, you were born in the year of the dog.  It’s believed that a person’s characteristics are determined by that year’s animal and element.  I was born in the year of the ‘Fire Dog’ and some of my characteristics are, intelligent, hard working, and sincere… 🙂

There are 18 dogs on display representing the year 2018.  Among some of it’s attributes the dog is loyal, intelligent, honest, and playful.  We are reminded that these are some of the energies of this year.

There are Chinese lanterns hanging all over and cherry blossoms and a big money tree for prosperity.

The conservatory was crowded which made it a bit difficult for me to get the shots I wanted.

In the middle of everything there’s koi pond, with lots of gold fish swimming around.

Flowers, flowers and more flowers everywhere.  I love the mannequins, all the outfits are made out of flowers and I was wondering how they keep the flowers from wilting.  My son noticed looking closely at the flowers, that you can see that they’re wet and water is dripping down, so I’m assuming that there’s a water system inside the mannequin to keep them fresh.

Oh and here’s my favorite son.  (don’t tell my other kids that he’s my favorite)

The displays change with the seasons and I love that when it’s taken down 90% of the trees, plants and flowers are recycled to celebrate and honor our earth.

I had a fantastic time taking these photos, everything was so beautiful, the colors are gorgeous, the creativity of this display is amazing.  We ended the day with a delicious caesar salad and pizza at Grimaldi’s.  I loved being with my family, and now I’m home wiped out.  🙂

Celebrating My Writing

I’m so happy, look at what came in the mail, my ‘Writual Blessings’ illustrated cards by Cynthia Morris. Love Love Love them.

After I cleared any negative energy from the cards I asked the question, what can you give me, and the card that flew out of the deck as I was shuffling is “celebrate your writing” oh wow, the most perfect card.

I don’t think I’ve ever celebrated my writing. I have thanked my writing. I say affirmations for writing, but never honored it by actually celebrating all that writing has blessed me with.

writual blessings

Writing has helped me to open up within, to declare who I am, to get over fears that were blocking me and uncover fears I didn’t know I had. Through writing I have gained strength and courage.

I have found my true voice and stepped into and opened to a universe that was waiting within me, a treasure chest full of creative gifts.

Writing has helped me to sort out ideas. Spill my guts out on the page. Get clear about things. And while writing I’ve received answers to questions, guidance, and inspiration.

Writing has been and is my divine gift.  Through writing I’ve been able to light the way for others, open doors and inspire, uplift, encourage others, and make a small difference in other peoples lives.

So this is my first celebration honoring my writing, my creativity, my inspiration, and my Source.

My own writing blessing –

I am grateful for my highest inner voice

I am grateful for my highest creativity

I am grateful for my highest inspiration

I am grateful for my highest writing

That is for my highest good and that of all, and so it is.

Amen!

Writing is my joy, my sanctuary, my love.  Writing every day has made me a better writer.  And so I continue to CELEBRATE and say YES to my writing.

Come and share your own celebration you have about your writing, in the comment section below.  Love to hear from you.

Here’s What I Know…

You can’t always be on top of things and you can’t always direct your days.   You can’t always be perfect and creative and whatever else you think you need to be every day.

I also know that there are times you can’t force things to happen. You can’t make yourself meditate, or read a book, or be forgiving, or understanding.  Or, not put your foot in your mouth (sometimes). You can’t set a goal and decide how it has to turn out, because the universe may have other plans for you. Greater ones than you could have ever imagined.

I had other plans for today but I just couldn’t get into it… and so I’m resting in the energy that is showing up.  Simple.  Peaceful. Unhurried. I took photos in the store.  🙂  And by the way I didn’t edit any of the colors in these photos.  I love my camera.

So what I know is that life is not always perfect; things do not always go as planned. Sometimes plans get sidetracked and sometimes life is messy and that’s ok too.  But every day holds out endless possibilities and unlimited potential.  Every day has its own color and shape and energies and we can play in the sandbox or not.

And this I know for sure – I love my life with all its messiness and magic and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world.

Feel free to share what you know… in the comment section below, love to hear from you.

Be Yourself – A Love Note

You are a divine being and the universe loves you.

Don’t run away.

Don’t hide yourself away.

unique

You are unique and special.

You are perfect and enough just the way you are.

There is only one of you ever.

There never was another you before, there will never be another you again, and there is only one you right now.

Be who you are – BE YOURSELF!

Unlock Your-Self & Step Into Your Amazing

Life is not so simple at times. It can be complex, laced with layers and layers to unravel and thick heavy steel walls to break down. I didn’t know until I was fifty – that there can be another way, that I can think a different way about me, about life and about God.  I didn’t know until that moment of revelation that life can be different and that I can have dreams and desires and wants and needs and they can become true.

I didn’t know that I had been hiding myself away, that I am more than what I knew of myself to be. That I’m free to step out of the – have to and should to, that were choking me. That I was living under the rules and regulations that belonged to someone else but were shaping every moment of my life, and if I wanted my life to be different I needed to let go of thoughts and beliefs that didn’t really belong to me. They were handed down to me like some legacy since birth and I just took them and adapted them and made them my own and had been living by their law ever since.

It was in that moment of revelation that I started my journey of unraveling, digging myself out and freeing myself bit by bit. Breaking down the walls I put around me is not always easy, at times I held on for dear life, even when I knew that I’ve outgrown the level of consciousness I was in and needed to move on.  Sometimes i didn’t know how, and sometimes I didn’t even recognize that I had a wall, it was such a deep part of me.

My journey is ongoing, I’m still unraveling and digging myself out to get to the core of who I really am, so I can stand fully in my power and shine my light out into the world.

So I’m here to tell you that YES YOU CAN DO IT.  That THIS IS YOUR YEAR, and this is your invitation.  LET YOUR-SELF OUT.  Walk with trust, faith, forgiveness, compassion, courage, meet fear head on, and bit by bit find who you are, because every time you do you’re reclaiming a part of yourself and you’ll find you’re – AMAZING.

If this resonates and you feel like it, come and share your thoughts in the comment section bellow.  Love to chat.
