Learning to Embrace my Imperfections

I pulled this card today, and I wanted to share it with you because it’s the perfect message right now.  It asks “What can you release to connect to the source of your power?…”  It’s perfect because I’ve been beating myself up over having put my foot in my mouth a couple of days ago, and I’m still feeling bad over it and I need to release that out of me so I can connect with my inner power.  Can’t do it if I’m holding on to my mishap, and putting myself down with negative self talk.

Sometimes I say something, or do something without thinking, it just comes out of me, and later it hits me and I’m like OMG!!! I can’t believe I said that or did that.  When that happens I have a habit of beating myself up and making myself crazy with negative self talk.  I should have known better.  Whatever possessed me?  Why didn’t I stop myself?  I should have…and I’m thinking about how what I said, or did, is perceived by others or how it affected others and what must they think of me, and what can I do now to change it, and…OMG I just can’t believe myself… And the beating up on myself goes on and on…and all it does is make me anxious, stressed out and I feel even worse.

This is part of my growing and honestly, learning to embrace my imperfections has not been easy and I haven’t found that one quick fix yet.  And hey, if you know of one please let me know because I’ll take all the help I can get here.

So here’s the wisdom this card offers – It’s during these times that I have to stop and remind myself that stuff happens and I’m not perfect.  I’m still working on myself and instead of beating myself up, I should ask myself how is this barrage of negative self talk helping? Am I empowering myself right now?  Look at it, learn from it, forgive myself and release it so – I can stand in my power.

If you relate to this message, I’d love to hear from you, feel free to share.

The featured card is from the, Elena Brower Practice You, Daily Awakening Deck.

Simple Way to Bless Yourself & Your Home

I want to share with you a simple practice I’ve been doing now for a few years – blessing myself and my home.  I don’t leave my house without blessing.  It’s become a magical part of my every day, and by now, I don’t even have to think of it, the words just show up and I say them.

blessings

Blessing myself is a powerful act of love and when I declare blessings on myself and connect to myself and Spirit in this way, I’m blessing the universe too, I’m sending waves of loving blessings out into the universe.

Here’s what I do, before I leave my house, while I’m walking around from room to room making sure I put out all the candles I had burning, that the fan is turned off in my bathroom, that all is good in the kitchen, I just very simply say – I am blessed, my home is blessed, my day is blessed, everything is good and perfect and blessed. Thank you. Thank you.  Thank you.  And I instantly feel the joy these words ignite inside of me.

I don’t have a set rule or set words that I speak.  Some days what I say changes a bit, but mostly this is what I say.  And as I’m walking out the door to my car I feel myself calm, spiritually protected, safe and loved and I know all is good.

This simple act of blessing myself has helped to change the way I feel every day and I encourage you to try it.  The key to really crafting a ritual for yourself, no matter how outlandish it may seem, is to abandon any notion that you’re not doing it right, or that it’s not acceptable, or what will they think?  Do you have the right to?…Just go with your gut feeling, if you feel that this ritual is good for you, if it feels right to you, then it is and do it.  Make it a part of your daily self-care, you will raise your vibration, you will feel more calm and you will feel spiritually blessed.

Do you already bless yourself and your home before you leave your house?  Love to know what you do.

Blessings

Why Take a Day Off From…

Today I’m just popping in for a quick minute to just invite you to give yourself permission to take a day off – from the world.  That’s what I’m doing and maybe you need to also.

Sometimes I forget that I can’t just give give give, and go go go, I need to also stop, receive and refill.  I need to also give myself time to just rest and replenish, and well…                just do nothing.

It’s a day that I give myself permission to just be.  Like I said I call it my – day off from the world. No work.  No heavy lifting.  No I have to.  I should.  I must.  No anxiety allowed.  (Although I have to admit I was feeling a bit anxious earlier, I’m totally calm now.)  No feeling guilty for taking time out for me to just chill, to just not expect anything of myself.  Just giving myself permission to play in the field without expectations to accomplish anything, or to create anything, or to inspire anyone…or, whatever it is I think I need to be doing.

Stopping to replenishing my mind, body and soul is the greatest gift I can give to my overall well-being.  This is part of my living mindfully and self-care, and sometimes I forget that I need to embrace solitude, empty space, do nothing time – rest.  Today, in my journal writing I was reminded of this practice by my Celestial Beings, thank you.

So, before I go and take a day off from the world, I just wanted to pop in here and share my thoughts with you, I hope that this will encourage you to do the same, if you’re finding yourself in need of some special self-care.

An Invitation for 2019

My intention for 2019… a sweeter life.

This year I’m inviting  all of us to remember that we’re already cherished and loved by the one greatest universal force.

We’re invited to love ourselves without limitations and without guilt and as deeply as we can.

new year

We’re invited to shed the light on who we truly are – magnificent – deserving – worthy – loving – healthy – amazing – resilient… humans having a life here, just one of many.  Experiencing the spectrum of what life can bring us.  Learning to navigate through the rough waters, our fears and the sun-shiny days.

We’re invited to remember that we are more powerful than what we think.  That we can overcome, remove the walls, and reign supreme over our lives.  We are the magic wands of our life. (here)

This is my prayer for 2019, my invitation – to share what I’m inspired to create and what I know about living a sweeter life.  To cherish every moment even those that will have me fall off the wagon and into the pit, and the emotional break down ones, and that I can pull myself out and I can open my heart and be more and give more and receive more.  And that I can, and we all can, shine our light a lot brighter than what we are.

So I invite you to join me on this journey in 2019 and live the invitation of –

a sweeter life.

With gratitude and love – Happy 2019!!! Wishing all health, prosperity, happiness, love, magic and lots of blessings!!!

Mindful Pause – Breathe

As we lose ourselves in the hustle and business of our daily chores – our to do lists, our have to, our work, emails, shopping, our family, exercise, cooking…  As we rush to accomplish it all, we don’t pay attention to our breathing and we mostly take shallow breaths.  And we do it without thinking.  But today, make yourself conscious and become aware of your breathing.

As you go about your day, remember to just – b r e a t h e.

breathe

Pause for a moment, and mindfully take in a long deep breath.  Let it fill your lungs, and breathe all the way down into your belly, bring it in deep, as far in as you can.  Feel it filling your whole body, hold it for a couple of seconds, say thank you in your mind as you fill yourself with this wonderful beautiful air, and breathe out.

Pausing to breathe in mindfully and intentionally will energize you, open your senses, refresh you.  It will calm you and bring you to a more harmonious state within.

B r e a t h e!

Feel free to share your mindful breathe pause.  What did you do to remind yourself?  🙂

Blessings
