You hold the power.
Opening up to my light and letting it shine, has been the hardest for me. I had to first get rid of so many obstacles, tear down so many walls, walls that I had built around me for protection. Climb impossible mountains. Step out of a lifetime of fear that kept me trapped inside more fear. And the thing is that it wasn’t really my fear, I hadn’t really experienced it, this was my parents fear handed down to me like a precious heirloom. They were holocaust survivors, they had lived through unimaginable horrors, they lost everyone they loved and everything they owned, and in order to protect me from the horrors of this world, they filled me with their fear that became imbedded into every cell of me from the moment I was born.
As a young child I didn’t understand the words, but I could feel my mothers emotions, I could feel her pain every day when she spoke of her life in concentration camps. I could feel her anguish, I felt her tears. I didn’t know how to deal with these emotions, I didn’t understand the pain I was feeling and I wanted it to stop, I wanted to run away, and so I buried myself away, I hid myself so deep within that I almost didn’t find myself.
The journey may not be easy but every day you have the power to decide, to move out of, to let go of what doesn’t feel good, what doesn’t serve your highest best. To open a new door within and walk through it. To break a habit, to learn something new, to start fresh. You have the power to change a thought, to inspire, encourage and uplift yourself. To raise your consciousness. To ask why am I holding on to this? To live in light, to give love to you.
You hold the power to nourishing your fears or nourishing your dreams. Which do you want to give your power to? Because whichever one you give it to, that one will flourish and grow and be your magic.
You have the choice – you are your own magic wand.

You have overcome so much, even if the fears that have imprinted on your life have been partly from your parents (and it’s no wonder that has been passed down with the horrors they must have gone through). To move forward and seek lightness, positivity and change in your life just shows how strong and resilient you are, and you’ve been incredibly generous to share it with ours and write so honestly about your journey. This has been very empowering to read because you’re right, we have more power over our life than we realise sometimes, we are our ‘own magic wand’. Brilliant post!! ♥

Awesome and inspirational! It is very important to stay positive and being aware that we are amazing creatures. There is a lot of negativity around, but we don’t have to focus on it. Your life will change when you stay positive and decide YOU CAN do anything. YES! I AM the magic wand of my life!

We inherit so much of other people’s pain. You’ve been prepared to face it with courage and grace when so many turn their backs.
