How I Set Myself Up for a Successful Outcome

On the 18th I’m scheduled for a knee replacement surgery, I’ll be in the hospital overnight and then I’ll be in a rehab center, I don’t know for how long before I’m able to come home.

I’m not going to lie, yes I am concerned and I am at times flipping out, but at the same time I know that everything will be ok, the surgery will be a success, and I will get through this and will be perfect and happy and grateful that I’m after it all, and everything turned out great.

I’m trying to hold on to my deepest beliefs here, that what we put out into the universe with our thoughts and feelings is what we receive back from the universe.  So  I’m envisioning me after everything, healthy and well and feeling so happy.  Seeing myself walking around my neighborhood, stopping and taking photos.  Thanking our Great Mystery our Divine Mother, my angels and all the celestial beings who are with me helping me and blessing me.  Giving thanks that the surgery was a success and I’m now able to travel.  I’m on a cruise.  I’m climbing mountains YEAH!!! (well maybe the mountains thing will stay in my imagination :), and  I’m feeling extremely happy and giving thanks that I’m healed and well.  I’m blessing and thanking the surgeon and his team, and all the people who helped me.  Thank you – Thank you – Thank you.

crystal

When I decided to bring my rose quartz crystal with me to have its loving energy, I wanted to take a photo for this blog post and the funny thing is that the crystal kept on falling out of my hand and I couldn’t hold on to it to snap a picture.  After about the fifth time I finally got the message, LOL, I was using the wrong background. The minute I realized this, my mothers needlepoint with the Hummingbirds that she made for me years ago came into my mind.  There was more to this than just my crystal. The Hummingbird is bringing the message of hope and jubilation.  Of joy, renewal, healing and more.  And of course my darling mother letting me know she’s with me, watching over me, all will be well.  A sign of hope to take with me.

Life is not always sunshine and flowers and magical fluffy stuff.  With every new age come new challenges.  I’m 72 now and my body is not what it was when I was 20, or 30 or even 60, or last year.  And so, I’m moving with the flow, holding on to my vision of wellness, being grateful, having faith in the process and allowing it to unfold in the way that it’s supposed to – divinely.

A Message from Your Angels

Be conscious of nourishing your joy.

It’s so easy to get lost inside the everyday hustle and to forget your joy.

conscious joy

Reminder alert here –

Nourish your joy every day, don’t let it fall to the wayside and let yourself get caught up in negative thoughts that are not serving you well.  Be conscious of your joy, if you’re not feeling it, stop and ask yourself what are you feeling?  How important is that feeling to you?  If it’s not brining you joy, why are you holding on to it?  Let it go, get conscious and do something that brings you joy, and hold on to that instead.  This can be as simple as taking a break and sitting quietly having a cup of coffee, calling on your angels and asking them to help you feel joy, drawing a doodle for a few minutes, or mindfully affirming that you are joy.  Your body, mind and soul will thank you, and your angels will be dancing all around you.

Your angels want you to know that joy is your gift, and you’re here to feel joy – allow joy to flourish.

Why Give Your Self Praise

It’s real easy to put ourselves down for what we believe we didn’t do right, or perfect enough, or for putting our foot in our mouth…But it’s not often, or maybe never, that we give ourselves a high five for a job well done.  Maybe appreciating ourselves for finishing a goal we set for ourselves, for being brave enough, or for the every day things that we accomplish…We praise everyone else for all sorts of things, oh what you did was great…I knew you could do it…I’m so proud of you…you’re amazing…but we don’t say those kind precious words to our own self.

I was looking through some photos and I’m in awe of how great a photographer I’ve become.  I’ve busted through and gotten over my fear of photographing something in public. I’ve developed a keen eye and an inner sense of looking through the lens and highlighting the beauty in what I’m photographing. I’ve gained perspective for how to position my subject for best effect, and I’ve learned how to edit my photographs…I’ve fallen in love with the camera and seeing my creations bring happiness to others makes me super happy and proud of myself.  So today I’m praising myself for the awesome photographer I’ve become.  I AM AWESOME!!!  YEAH!!!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you can kind of tell that I love flowers.  I find them wherever I go.  These I photographed today at the supermarket.

Giving your self praise will uplift your mood, will make you happy and feel good about yourself, and it’ll help you believe in yourself.  It will empower you, give you self confidence, motivation and inspiration – and guess what?  All that is good for your health.

So how about you?  Be your own best friend.  You deserve kindness from you, you deserve your own praise.   It’s the greatest pick me up and the greatest for your soul.

Yes, you can.  Yes, you are.  Yes – you already know.

Believe that your life is taking place inside of, and you’re a manifestation of, an AMAZING CONSCIOUS UNIVERSE that is in you – and that wants to, and is, supporting you, loving you, and giving to you, all that you are asking for.  Good or not, huge or small, the Universe does not make choice, you‘re the one making choice you’re the one deciding what you want.  With every thought you’re the one deciding this is what I want and this is what I do not.  You’re deciding health, love, money, joy, relationships, knowledge,…and this amazing Universe is delivering.

You’re co-creating with Universal Mind every step on your journey.  Create a gorgeous life for your self.  Hold on to thoughts that empower you and elevate you and are joyful.  Dare to believe in all possibilities, it’s possible because you are a part of, and one with, a Conscious Universe that – loves only loves – and miracles and magick are abundant.

So tell me, what are you believing?  What are you holding on to for yourself?  Come and share your thoughts, love to know.

A Simple Mindfulness Photo Pause Creates Joy

I started to take photos because I wanted my own photos to be showcased in my blog posts.  When I started I had no idea if what I was doing was good or not, I just did it.  No one ever complained about them (LOL) and to me the photos were of course, amazing.

What started out as wanting to use my own photos, has evolved into so much more than just the act of snapping a picture for my blog.  Stopping and taking a photo of a tree, a flower, of how the light comes through the window, has become a mindfulness pause in my day.  It’s become a way of connecting with my intuition and following its guidance. It’s a moment in meditation.  It’s me being one with what I’m photographing.  It’s magic, it’s passion, it’s JOY.  It’s my feelings in the photo, making taking a photo a deep and rich experience.

If you’re not already giving yourself the gift of a daily mindfulness photo pause, I’m encouraging you to do so.  You don’t need an expensive camera, I take all my photos with my phone, it’s what I have with me all the time, so it’s super easy.   Before you go out set the intention to find something to photograph, guaranteed you’ll find something or someone and let that be your daily fun practice.

At first I felt very self-conscious about taking a photo outside, I thought everyone is looking at me.  I’ve gotten over it.  I don’t make taking photographs an impossible thing, I make it easy and fun. I don’t compare my photos to anyone else, I don’t worry over if they’re perfect, I let my intuition guide me, and I shoot what I like.  And it doesn’t have to be a photo outside, it can be a mindfulness pause right inside your home.  I take photos of family, I stage photos for a particular blog post.  I take photos that never make it to publishing.  Inside or outside, doesn’t matter, what matters is that I take a moment to pause and to connect with my inner self to create.

The other thing that’s happened is that I developed a connection and a love for photography and  I want my photos to be visually attractive.   When I shoot I look for composition and light.  I use two apps for editing, Phonto and WordSwag.  These apps allow me to highlight and use text and they are free to download.  There are many more apps that are great that you can find in a google search.  And I’ve also taken a couple of online photography courses.

I took all these photos of my neighbors tree over the last few days.  I told my neighbor that technically you could say that the tree is mine since some branches overlap into my yard, LOL.  I have a relationship with this tree, I’ve watched it grow from a seedling, I love this tree we greet each other every day.

Stopping to take a photo is a mindfulness act, a moment in meditation, a connection between you and the subject you’re photographing.  With every photo we’re creating a composition, our images tell stories, and we’re creating a moment of magic and wonder that fills us with JOY. JOY. JOY.

I’d love to know if you’re practicing a daily, mindful photo pause already.  Or, do you want to start and you have questions.  I’d love to know.

Why Take a Day Off From…

Today I’m just popping in for a quick minute to just invite you to give yourself permission to take a day off – from the world.  That’s what I’m doing and maybe you need to also.

Sometimes I forget that I can’t just give give give, and go go go, I need to also stop, receive and refill.  I need to also give myself time to just rest and replenish, and well…                just do nothing.

hydrengea1

It’s a day that I give myself permission to just be.  Like I said I call it my – day off from the world. No work.  No heavy lifting.  No I have to.  I should.  I must.  No anxiety allowed.  (Although I have to admit I was feeling a bit anxious earlier, I’m totally calm now.)  No feeling guilty for taking time out for me to just chill, to just not expect anything of myself.  Just giving myself permission to play in the field without expectations to accomplish anything, or to create anything, or to inspire anyone…or, whatever it is I think I need to be doing.

Stopping to replenishing my mind, body and soul is the greatest gift I can give to my overall well-being.  This is part of my living mindfully and self-care, and sometimes I forget that I need to embrace solitude, empty space, do nothing time – rest.  Today, in my journal writing I was reminded of this practice by my Celestial Beings, thank you.

So, before I go and take a day off from the world, I just wanted to pop in here and share my thoughts with you, I hope that this will encourage you to do the same, if you’re finding yourself in need of some special self-care.

Blessings
