“Every blade of grass has an angel that bends over it and whispers, Grow! Grow!”~Talmud
This has just been one of those weeks where life happens and the week got away from me and before I knew it here we are and I have written nothing that I can share. So although I don’t have any inspiring uplifting words for you, I hope you do enjoy some photos taken from around my neighborhood.
If you don’t live in the desert here’s a little taste of the beauty that surrounds me.

I love clay pots. This one is actually on the front lawn of one of my neighbors, photograph taken while on a nature walk with my granddaughter.

There are many different varieties of succulent plants. There’s the Silver, there’s the Blue. There’s the Graptopetalum which because of their plump rosettes they give visual weight and are great for the border of large containers. And did you know that succulents are a very low maintenance plant requiring water only once every 7-10 days or when soil is dry? And sorry I forgot the name of these so if you know, please post in the comments below.

I found this bug outside on my plant in my back yard just standing there like this for a while. I’m not sure what kind of bug this is, but if you know share in the comments please.

Bench in front of Cattle Baron Steak & Seafood Restaurant, love their salad bar. Photo taken when out to dinner with my granddaughters.

These are growing on the road right outside my house, I’m thinking Prickly Pear but not sure, if you know please leave the name in the comments.

And I can’t end without mentioning these gorgeous butterflies who come to visit every summer, this one is outside the front of my house.

No matter where you live you have a neighborhood, so go out, take a walk around, give some gratitude for the beauty that surrounds you and charm your soul. I am grateful for the magic I see all around me every day and I’m delighted to share with you a bit of our desert love.
Feel free to share your photos and if you know the names of the cacti and bug, let me know in the comments below.
Dessert Blessings
