February Love

I’ve decided February to be the month of – I LOVE ME.  That is, the month of paying special attention to loving ME.

I’m letting go of criticism, judgement and any other toxic thoughts I have about myself and inviting in only those that uplift, encourage and light me up.

I’m tuning into myself and giving me an extra sprinkling of special sparkly love.

Let this month be the month you walk in your own power, knowing that you deserve – deserve to be happy – deserve to be prosperous – deserve to be loved – deserve to be brilliant.

Don’t leave yourself at the end of the line, don’t let yourself be guided by someone else’s opinions of you – make yourself a priority, remember that you are – important – unique – beautiful – special…

Take time to pay attention to your home, this is your castle – decorate it with beauty and love. Buy flowers, they don’t have to be expensive I buy them for under $10 at the supermarket.  Burn candles, they add a warmth to your home.

Incense.jpeg

Burn delicious incense, my favorite scent is the Mag Champa, Agarbatti, you can get them at Amazon, some of the health food stores, or metaphysical stores. (Remember to follow the instructions for lighting candles and incense, don’t leave them unattended)

This month splurge on one special gift for yourself. Something that you’ve been wanting but haven’t bought for yourself. A book maybe that’s been on your wish list. A new beautiful journal.  A delicious cup of tea with a friend…

Give yourself five minutes a day of undisturbed time.  Turn off your cell phone, computer, ipad and any other electronic devise that can disturb you and just envelop yourself in the silence and quiet of just being with you.

Take from this what feels good to you, leave out the rest and I invite you to leave a comment, lets share our special love.

Wishing you February Love Blessings

Monday Magic

I BELIEVE IN ME!

is a powerful affirmation that will move you forward from thinking small to thinking big.  From not trying to achieving.  From fear to unlimited potential.  From being scared to doing it anyway.

Sprinkle a little magic on yourself and believe in yourself – believe that you can do it, that you are important, that you will succeed, believe in the magical and watch doors open, mountains move, walls break down.

i-believe-in-me

You are unlimited potential and endless possibilities.

You can’t step into your power and live your purpose without believing in yourself.

It takes faith, determination and lots of courage to step out and say I BELIEVE IN ME!

Carry this affirmation with you and say it to yourself throughout the day.  You may not believe it at first, say it anyway, say it with intention and feelings.  Say it first thing in the morning, declare it to the universe and to yourself –

I BELIEVE IN ME!

Wishing You an Amazing 2017!

I wanted to end this year with some really creative ideas, some inspiring thoughts, say some things that are very deep and clever…but the truth is that I can’t think of anything LOL.

New year 2017.png

So instead here’s a short list of a few of the books that I read this year that I really, really liked.

The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level by Gay Hendricks

Everyday Witchcraft: Making Time for Spirit in a Too-Busy World by Deborah Blake

The Second Half of Life: Opening the Eight Gates of Wisdom by Angeles Arrien

When the Heart Waits: Spiritual Direction for Life’s Sacred Questions by Sue Monk Kidd

What I’m reading right now –

Uncharted: The Journey Through Uncertainty to Infinite Possibilities by                          Colette Baron Reid

You Are Woman, You Are Divine: The Modern Woman’s Journey Back to the Goddess by Renee Starr

Some new stuff for 2017

I personally feel as though I’ve been transformed and I’m stepping out of an old energy that now no longer fits me and stepping into a new higher level of consciousness.

My word for 2017 is “commitment” (more on this later)

A couple of weeks ago I read about Labradorite and I immediately felt drawn to it.  It holds the power for awakening the magic mystical psychic powers within, so this is my meditation/writing crystal that I am holding with me for this new year.   And I signed up for The Year of Me 2017 with Nicole Cody, I love her blog Cauldrons and Cupcakes.  To work with The Year of Me planner she encourages you to choose a gratitude stone. I have a desert landscape outside my house and I have river rocks and other stones that I’m not sure of what they are.  But when I was looking for my gratitude stone this particular one caught my eye and I had to pick it up.  I’m not sure if this will be my gratitude stone but, when I hold it I feel very grounded and connected with Mother Earth, and so it’s with me.

My oracle cards that I feel very inspired by and connected to at the moment is the Connected and Free, The Alchemist’s Oracle and these are the two cards that jumped out at me today.  And there will definitely be Tarot cards in 2017.

A Sprinkling of Christmas Magic

I just got back from spending a few glorious days in Las Vegas visiting my son and family.  I love going this time of year because I love checking out all the Christmas decorations around.  Pure delightful magic.

First, here’s a view from my window in the early morning hours, looking at the strip, the mountains, the sky.  Amazing.

When I’m looking at all the Christmas decorations and am listening to holiday music I feel transported into a magical fairytale place.

Christmas ornaments at the Fashion Show Mall located right on the strip, this is hanging from the ceiling.

Another magical creation.

I was so busy looking at the window displays and got so excited taking photos of these mannequins I didn’t notice the name of the store 🙂

There is lots of white to bring holiday cheer.

OK I’m in fantasy heaven now, my son brought me to the Wynn Hotel and everywhere I looked it’s amazing.

Celebrating My 70th Birthday!!!

I wanted to take a cruise for my 70th birthday, I looked at it as a retreat on the ocean, so my kids gifted me with a cruise to Mexico.  Seven glorious days on the ocean with three different destination stops.

It started with dinner in San Diego, California with my son, and I can’t believe that I didn’t devour the bread – I loooovvvve bread.  I’m like Oprah, I can eat bread for breakfast lunch and dinner. But, I stayed committed to my health and didn’t eat but a very small piece and let me tell you it was delicious 🙂 (and yes I wanted all of it)

And of course my son surprised me with a birthday cup cake, yum, which he ate LOL, but I did make a wish and blew out the candle.

I woke up on Tuesday morning to this fabulous view of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

And a shopping mall right by the pier.

Sun rise San Diego.jpeg

On my last day I was greeted by this spectacular view from my balcony… sunrise in San Diego, California.

I’m really proud of myself I stayed committed to myself all through the cruise and I didn’t eat any of the many delicious looking deserts, not even a crumb, except for the last day I had a small scoop of sugar free ice cream 🙂

I don’t know what happened because I was looking forward to turning 70 but I was depressed for the first three days of my birthday, still am a bit (I’ll write about this transformation in another blog post)   I realized I’m at a threshold, starting a whole new journey in a place I’m not familiar with, letting go, opening up and moving deeper.

I saw the best show on the ship, the BB King All Star Band, they were amazing.  I read two books, When The Heart Waits by Sue Monk Kidd and The Second Half of Life, Opening the Eight Gates of Wisdom by Angeles Arrien.

I had a fabulous great time.  I am grateful.

Blessings
