The Universe is Always Responding to Us and Guiding Us

We live in a glorious Universe that is always communicating with us and is always giving us what we ask for.  The thing is that we’re not always aware of this, and whether we know this consciously or not, the Universe is always responding to us.  When we keep ourselves open, believe, have faith in that it will be given to us, and know without a doubt that what we ask for will appear – we will see it.   For me, I don’t always see what is right in front of me (LOL) that’s why when I ask for something, I always ask that the Universe make it so clear that there’ll no mistaking that this is the answer.

I’ve been asking for a book that will open my heart and yesterday while looking at Five Minute Friday on Instagram, an online writing community that I like to follow, I noticed this book on their page that attracted me, so I immediately went to Amazon to check it out.  When I hit enter, the second that it came up, my entire body started to tingle.  That’s not something you can make yourself feel.   And not just a slight tingling, and not just on my left side, where I’ve experienced it before,  but this was a tingling that was in my entire body and it was so strong that there was no way I could miss it.  I stopped what I was doing, closed my eyes, and just sat with this vibration that was electrifying in me.

There is no  doubt in my mind that the Universe guided me to this book, I didn’t even need to read the excerpt to know that there’s something magical and special here and I need to read.

Have you had an experience that was so obvious to you that you couldn’t ignore it?  Please feel free to share, I’d love to know.

July A Message from Hummingbird

I love pulling a Tarot or Oracle card on the first of each month and letting it be a guiding energy for the month.  On 7/1 I asked what energy do I need for this month and Hummingbird showed up and OMG absolutely perfect, just what I needed a reminder of.

When Hummingbird shows up it’s a reminder that we need to bring joy into our days, to lighten up, take ourselves out of a rut we may be in.  Hummingbird also reminds us to look at our energy levels and that we need to raise our vibration, a good question to ask ourselves is – are we wasting our energy on worry, fear, on not having enough?  And when this magical bird appears we can expect synchronicities to happen.  Hummingbirds also symbolize healing, agility, playfulness and this is just a few things.

For me, I have a tendency to fall into the place of ‘serious’ and not even realize it.  And right now, as I’m going through this recovery from surgery, let me tell you it’s not hard at all to go day after day and not be aware of that I’m missing the little things that bring great joy into my day.  So for Hummingbird to show up, what a blessing.

So this is my intention for this month, to make myself aware to bring joy into every day. Doesn’t matter what it is, putting my feet up and drinking a cup of tea and feeling the joy in it.   Listening to the birds chirping in the morning.  Or buying myself flowers…Whatever it is, I’ll be bringing joy intentionally to my days even if it is for just a couple of moments.

When we set the intention and become aware, we can find a moment of sweetness in every day.  If you resonate with Hummingbirds message, join me in intentionally bringing a moment of joy into your every day, it will make a difference in your wellbeing.  Let me know what you think, leave a comment, I love to know.

This beautiful card is from the Mystical Shaman Oracle card deck by, Alberto Violloldo, Colette Baron-Reid, & Marcela Lobos.

A Simple Mindfulness Photo Pause Creates Joy

I started to take photos because I wanted my own photos to be showcased in my blog posts.  When I started I had no idea if what I was doing was good or not, I just did it.  No one ever complained about them (LOL) and to me the photos were of course, amazing.

What started out as wanting to use my own photos, has evolved into so much more than just the act of snapping a picture for my blog.  Stopping and taking a photo of a tree, a flower, of how the light comes through the window, has become a mindfulness pause in my day.  It’s become a way of connecting with my intuition and following its guidance. It’s a moment in meditation.  It’s me being one with what I’m photographing.  It’s magic, it’s passion, it’s JOY.  It’s my feelings in the photo, making taking a photo a deep and rich experience.

If you’re not already giving yourself the gift of a daily mindfulness photo pause, I’m encouraging you to do so.  You don’t need an expensive camera, I take all my photos with my phone, it’s what I have with me all the time, so it’s super easy.   Before you go out set the intention to find something to photograph, guaranteed you’ll find something or someone and let that be your daily fun practice.

At first I felt very self-conscious about taking a photo outside, I thought everyone is looking at me.  I’ve gotten over it.  I don’t make taking photographs an impossible thing, I make it easy and fun. I don’t compare my photos to anyone else, I don’t worry over if they’re perfect, I let my intuition guide me, and I shoot what I like.  And it doesn’t have to be a photo outside, it can be a mindfulness pause right inside your home.  I take photos of family, I stage photos for a particular blog post.  I take photos that never make it to publishing.  Inside or outside, doesn’t matter, what matters is that I take a moment to pause and to connect with my inner self to create.

The other thing that’s happened is that I developed a connection and a love for photography and  I want my photos to be visually attractive.   When I shoot I look for composition and light.  I use two apps for editing, Phonto and WordSwag.  These apps allow me to highlight and use text and they are free to download.  There are many more apps that are great that you can find in a google search.  And I’ve also taken a couple of online photography courses.

I took all these photos of my neighbors tree over the last few days.  I told my neighbor that technically you could say that the tree is mine since some branches overlap into my yard, LOL.  I have a relationship with this tree, I’ve watched it grow from a seedling, I love this tree we greet each other every day.

Stopping to take a photo is a mindfulness act, a moment in meditation, a connection between you and the subject you’re photographing.  With every photo we’re creating a composition, our images tell stories, and we’re creating a moment of magic and wonder that fills us with JOY. JOY. JOY.

I’d love to know if you’re practicing a daily, mindful photo pause already.  Or, do you want to start and you have questions.  I’d love to know.

Mindful Pause – Breathe

As we lose ourselves in the hustle and business of our daily chores – our to do lists, our have to, our work, emails, shopping, our family, exercise, cooking…  As we rush to accomplish it all, we don’t pay attention to our breathing and we mostly take shallow breaths.  And we do it without thinking.  But today, make yourself conscious and become aware of your breathing.

As you go about your day, remember to just – b r e a t h e.

breathe

Pause for a moment, and mindfully take in a long deep breath.  Let it fill your lungs, and breathe all the way down into your belly, bring it in deep, as far in as you can.  Feel it filling your whole body, hold it for a couple of seconds, say thank you in your mind as you fill yourself with this wonderful beautiful air, and breathe out.

Pausing to breathe in mindfully and intentionally will energize you, open your senses, refresh you.  It will calm you and bring you to a more harmonious state within.

B r e a t h e!

Feel free to share your mindful breathe pause.  What did you do to remind yourself?  🙂

Blessings
