A few moments of love, peace, quiet, solitude, watch a movie.

Chocolate.

Have a cup of tea with yourself.

Go out for a walk.

Write in your journal or start a new creative project –

Dance in your living room for no reason.

Laugh.

International Woman’s Day

Today we celebrate International Women’s day.

I honor and celebrate my mother who suffered so greately in the hell of concentration camps.

I remember and honor all the women in my family, and the millions of women who were killed during the holocaust.

And today I light a candle and honor all women around the world who have suffered crimes of injustice and are still suffering crimes of injustice.

My prayer is for that injustice towards women be wiped out

My prayer is that we honor and celebrate our feminine

My prayer is that we uplift instead of tear down

My prayer is that we recognize our worth in each other

My prayer is that we place ‘love’ above all else

Kindness to Yourself

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe,

deserve your love and affection.”  ~Buddha

 One of my conditions that I am living this year is “clean living” that means nourishing my mind body and soul in ways that will support, uplift, and fill me with joy.

Giving “kindness” to myself is part of my condition of clean living.  However, being kind to me is not always top on my list of  – for me – things.

There are times when I’m definitely not kind to myself.  I loose myself in the daily demands of life and I’m hard on myself, taking myself for granted, forgetting that I am in charge of my own life and allowing other people’s words and actions to bother me, upset me and stress me out.  Eating the wrong foods.  Not spending time in silence.  Saying the wrong things, (yes putting my foot in my mouth) and then feeling bad and trying to figure out how to fix it.   Getting involved in other peoples dramas.  All of this is not clean living and definitely not being “kind” to myself.

Today I am practicing “kindness” by honoring me.

I am making time for me.  Forgiving me.  Believing I’m worthy strong and powerful.  Allowing only those thoughts that uplift, inspire, and support me to enter into my mind.

Honoring my life and giving thanks for all that I am so blessed to have.

Consciously choosing my food and drink.  Exercise.

Feeding myself with inspiring affirmations that support and elevate me.

Consciously choosing my thoughts, and nourishing my mind, body and soul with only those thoughts that are, uplifting, supporting and loving – ME.

Only while being kind to me can I illuminate that light that has ignited within me and shine it out into the world.

Kindness to your-self is a choice that you are free to make.

Color in the Every Day

Don’t make resolutions, instead create conditions that will untie you from old prisons and free you to feel joy, be inspired and motivated.

One such condition is color.

Find your colors.

Color plays a major role in setting moods and affects your state of mind.  We respond to color with emotion.  Each color carries with it its own energetic vibrational healing properties.

For example red is associated with vitality, courage, and self confidence.  It is a color mostly associated with emotions like love, speed, and strength.  People who are drawn to the color red are believed to be confident, humanistic, spontaneous, strong willed, courageous and extroverted.

What colors are you most attracted to?

Don’t pick colors just because that’s the “IN” color right now.  Or, you want to copy a famous celebrity, or your best friend.

What fits one person may not be the right fit for another.

Listen to your own heart what color makes you smile, makes you feel joy?  What color makes you feel inspired?…

Investigate the color, what is its energetic meaning.  What is its healing properties.   What does the dictionary say about it.

Adorn your house with colors that make you feel happy.  This is your sanctuary, feel energetically inspired in your space.  Surround yourself with colors that speak to you, uplift you.  You don’t have to wear a complete outfit in your color but wear a piece of jewelry, a scarf, socks, under garments, shoes.  You’ll see how uplifted you will feel your whole body will smile.

This year resolve to immerse yourself or surround yourself in colors that speak to you.

Just pay attention to how you feel when you are wearing certain colors, or when you are looking at a certain color.  Do you feel happy?  Bla?  Energetic?

You have grown and changed.  Match your inner change with color on the outside.

In my home I am totally surrounded by images that uplift me, that I love and inspire me and give me peace.

I am surrounded by my favorite colors, red, orange, gold.

I don’t buy anything expensive I buy mostly on sale and this way when I’m ready for change I can easily give it away.

Color makes a difference in how you feel how you look and even in how you think.
