What I’m Reading

I hope you’re all well, I’m at home and hanging out with my books over here, although I have to admit that my concentration right now is very low and there are days I can’t read anything, and days where I flip from one book to the next, but reading is a part of me and I have to at least have the books, if for nothing else but the comfort they give me.

Here are 6 books I’m reading right now 🙂

I’m re-reading “A Return to Love” I read this book a few years ago, I have the physical book but I love to read on my iPad and I finally got it from the library.   Love the library.

“Your Spacious Self” I’ve had for a year but never got around to it, so now is perfect timing.

“Dwelling”, I love Melissa Michaels blog and so of course I had to get her book, and when the book first came out everyone was gifted a journal along with it, which made me happy.  I started reading the book but for some reason got side tracked, and now I’m back to it.

I’ve been listening to Melanie Beckler on and off for a while now, and I’ve been interested in channeling, so I can’t wait to start reading  Channeling the Guides and Angels of Light,  it was being offered for free when I got it last week and I think right now it still is free on Amazon, but don’t hold me to it.

The rest of the books I found through recommendations and can’t wait to dig in.

I’m finding myself drawn to read books that evoke the feeling of home, calm and a connection to universal truths.

Love to know what you’re reading, I’d love any recommendations.

Blessings

A Little Beauty for the Heart

Sunday blessings friends.

During this trying time, I like most all of us, am trying to stay calm, be aware of what’s going on, stay home, which I’m actually quite happy to do, since I’m a homebody at heart, and dealing with the situation the best I can.

They say that looking at beautiful things can improve the quality of your life and create happiness within.  I think that we should give ourselves something beautiful to look at every day and especially now, reflect on the beauty around you and nourish your heart.

Yesterday I spent time looking through some of my recent photos I don’t think I’ve shared, and found these that made me feel good, happy and smile.  I think that flowers have that affect on most of us.  A connection with nature that uplifts our spirit.  And strangely enough I feel a connection to the entire universe, a oneness.

Stand Up and Shout I LOVE ME!!!

Hello everyone, I’m really excited to share with you another one of my articles, originally published in the February issue of The Inspired Guide magazine (here) page 48.  If you haven’t already read it, hope you enjoy it.

^^^^^^

When I was asked to write about, loving yourself, I was so excited I jumped at the chance and said YES. This is exactly in alignment with my goals this year, write/coach about manifesting and learning to love yourself.

And then I went blank, I shut down, I started and wrote and deleted it all a hundred times over.  Nothing seemed right or good enough, I couldn’t get the words out.  My inner critic, always looking to protect me, was hard at work – who do you think you are? You don’t know enough.  You don’t have a college degree.  This is too hard, let’s watch a Hallmark movie.  I even considered telling the publisher that I can’t write this. But my inner guide was pushing me to write.  I manifested this for myself, the Universe was showing up for me and all my old fears were showing up too.  I fell back into my old story. Hide and don’t let anyone see you.  Just say you don’t know.

to love yourselfMy parents were Holocaust survivors, I grew up hearing of the horrors they lived through.  In their effort to protect me, they unknowingly instilled all their fears into me.  As a child I didn’t understand the meaning of the words, but I felt their pain.  Each word my mother spoke landed inside the very core of me.  I internalized beliefs and fears about me, life and God that didn’t belong to me.  And I lived by them.

You never know how or when your old beliefs can show up, and your old story can take a hold of you and strip you of self-confidence, of any thoughts of being enough, and all the inner work you did disappears. Like out of nowhere my, “you’re not good enough” beliefs about myself were playing in my head.  After a couple of days of struggling with this, I finally asked my inner guide for help in my journal. The answer I got was “be daring, the words you’re writing come from the deepest part of love inside you, they are Spirit and this is part of your journey so write it, it’s ok you are safe and protected and loved…Don’t be afraid.”

So here I am, “daring” revealing that – to love yourself is part of the journey.   Take small steps, one step at a time if you have to, but get to know who you are, be rooted in your own heart.  I believe that part of our purpose in life is to get to know ourselves, to peel away all the false beliefs we take on from childhood.  From our parents, society, from our culture, and to find ourselves.

When I was 50, I had a spiritual awakening, in one moment the Universe showed herself to me and I knew everything and I knew nothing all at the same time.  From that moment on began my journey to find me, God, and what life is about.  Every time I was able to excavate a belief that I was buried under, or bust through a wall I built around me to protect myself, I felt a freedom I had been longing for all my life.  I started to see me, life, and God in a new light, my light.  I was slowly unlocking myself from limiting beliefs that kept me small and opening to a higher version of me.  And somewhere along the path of transforming, I also started to love who I was becoming.

Loving myself has been the magick key that has given me the courage to dream big.  It’s helped me to trust and believe more in myself.  To live with intention, and be committed and honor my life.

I believe the greatest gift we can give to ourselves is to love our-self.  It’s our responsibility to get to know who we are in this life.  To love, honor and cherish our self wholeheartedly.  When we love our self, we are powerful beings emanating from within healing love energy, out into the Universe.

4 Tips to start loving yourself:

1 – Write it down.  When fears stop you, write them down.  They may not seem so scary on paper.  Ask where did you get this from?  Do you really believe it?   Change it to something true for you.

2 – Become conscious of your thoughts, they are the nourishment you’re feeding yourself with.  Every time you have a thought that puts you down, weed it out, replace it with one that honors you.

3 -Celebrate you, do one thing that makes you happy every day.  Sit quietly savoring a latte.  Read a book on your lunch hour.  Buy yourself flowers.  Wear your favorite earrings while cleaning.

4 – Start a gratitude journal and write three things you’re grateful for – about yourself – every day.  I’m grateful I accepted a compliment without putting myself down.  I’m grateful I gave myself luxury thoughts today…

With the right mindset and a willingness, you will create positive changes.

Ways to Simplify

Slow down.

Declutter.

Set boundaries.  Say yes, only to what you really mean yes to.

Accept to love yourself without guilt or shame.

Let go of what doesn’t matter.

Let go of what’s not yours to worry over.

Let go of other people’s drama.

simplify

Liberate yourself and let go of limiting beliefs.  Weed them out and let go of them, and  take that first step towards freedom.

You choose – decide to be healthy, happy, prosperous, worthy, deserving, loving…

Have gratitude for the little things, even the ones you think are meaningless.

You cannot get to your true self while you’re covered up with overwhelm.

Live consciously.

Create an easy morning routine that supports you.

When you simplify your life you’ll gain more energy, you’ll remove extra mental and physical clutter, you’ll feel lighter, you’ll gain space and time.  You’ll be opening doors to your own inner self.

Simplify your days, simplify your life.  Make room for your true self to shine.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Blessings

Start 2020 With Positive Affirmations

Hello everyone, originally my article was published in the January issue of The Inspired Guide magazine (here), and I meant to post it here on 2/1 but totally forgot.  If you haven’t already read it, hope you enjoy it, I personally love to say affirmations, they are a part of my daily ritual and a magical key in creating change.

***

How good would it feel if we knew that we could have calm, joy, confidence, greater health, prosperity, abundance…whatever we can imagine for ourselves, in every area of our life. How would that change the way we live every day?     Yup I know – life would be amazing!

Well you know what?  We can, and positive affirmations are the magical key that opens the door to the path of change.

positive affirmations

Affirmations are love notes we give to ourselves.  We’re already doing it all the time but we’re not conscious of it.  We fill ourselves with negative self-talk that puts us down and disempowers us.  I can’t do that.  I’m not creative.  I’ll never meet anyone.  I’m not lucky. I rather have health than money.  I’m so stupid.  These are all affirmations, declarations of who we are and what we want.  With every word we’re telling the Universe this is who I am and this is what I want, and the Universe who loves us, supports everything we declare for ourselves and gives us exactly that.  So, if we want to create change in our life, we need to become conscious of the thoughts we nourish ourselves with, filling ourselves with positive loving self-talk that will heal us, elevate and empower us to live our best and highest life.  I am healthy.  Money flows to me easily and magically.  I open my heart to love.  I am worthy…

The secret to affirmations is that the more we feel and believe in what we’re saying the greater and the more powerful our words become.  We cannot say “My heart is open to love” but underneath feel that “I’m just not lucky in that department”, and then expect love.  We cannot say “I love money” but really feel afraid of money because we’re holding on to the belief that “money is evil”, and then expect money to come to us.  We need to peel away the old beliefs we’ve been carrying around with us, most likely since childhood, and begin to affirm something new and awesome for ourselves.

We are limitless beings, with endless possibilities in front of us.

Positive – good for you – affirmations can up-level our mindset, fill us with love, elevate our consciousness, change the frequency of our vibration…Positive – good for you – affirmations are the magic to living a joy filled, sweeter life.

This is not to say that we can sit on our bed, say an affirmation and whala, a million dollars falls down on us, we still need to do our part in all of this.  Our life is up to us, it unfolds into exactly what we believe it to be, it may not happen overnight, but with dedication and commitment to our self, focusing daily on thoughts that make us feel good, life has no choice but to meet us at that level.

A Google search will bring up loads of affirmations, but here are a few-

I am worthy of all that I desire.

I lack nothing, all my needs are fulfilled.

I am learning and improving every day more.

I am blessed, my life is blessed.

I am open to new possibilities.

I am happy.

I am open to receive miracles.

My body is functioning in perfect order for me.

I now have the perfect job.

I love my life.

The energy of 2020 is magnetic, not only is it a New Year but a new decade and I can’t think of anything better than to start with positive affirmations and making this the year of – YOU!!!   Happy New Year!

Blessings
