Hello beautiful you,
I set a goal for myself to get healthier and to lose weight and I was really excited and all, I knew I could do it, I held onto the, yes I can do it mantra every day but, soon I wasn’t doing it, I lost motivation, inspiration and I lost belief in myself and gave up.
The thing is that, to achieve a goal you have to stay focused on it, and I wasn’t. And also, I forgot the most important thing that I needed to succeed, I forgot to celebrate myself along the way.

No matter what your goal is, you’re not going to do it in one big giant step. It’s really all the little steps you take every day that gets you – to – there, to – success – and you need to celebrate them.
When you celebrate something you’re making it a positive experience, you’re blessing it. When you’re celebrating the little steps along the way, they become your ‘wins’ and that’s what’s keeping you on course, holding your goal in front of you and you’re staying focused.
I wasn’t recognizing the things I did every day to reach my goal and let me tell you, that’s a big deal because it’s not always easy to do the work. Celebrating keeps me going especially during those days when I feel my efforts are small and mundane and that I’m not making any headway. But, I am, every little thing I do are my daily ‘wins’ they’re powerful and meaningful, they are what’s getting me to success.
What happens when you celebrate the little ‘wins’
You’re acknowledging yourself, you’re encouraging yourself, cheering for yourself, you become more confident and more sure of what you want. You become empowered and stay motivated, you believe in yourself. By celebrating your daily efforts you’re making your goal visible, and every time you give gratitude you’re blessing the whole journey. Those everyday steps you take towards your goal are powerful actions, they are your ‘wins’ to the finish line.
How to celebrate your little wins
How you celebrate your little ‘wins’ is up to you but, for me, what makes the biggest impact is writing them down. Seeing my wins written down gives me hope and encouragement, it empowers me and helps me to feel more self-confident – I CAN DO IT. So, every day I list what I did and I thank myself for the effort, even if I did just one little thing, it’s something and I’m celebrating myself for it. And on days when I did nothing, I don’t look at it as a failure and I’m not giving up, I remind myself it’s a process and it’s OK.
My invitation for you today is
Have a goal, commit to it. Create a plan, and celebrate all the little ‘wins’ along the way, they are powerful, they are the stepping stones to achieving your success. Celebrate yourself, feel the joy and inspiration – you can do it!!!

I always find your blog posts so uplifting Masha – thank you 🙂 I’m on a weight loss journey myself and have lost most of what I wanted to but still not quite there. Every time I attend weigh in and have lost weight, I never seem to be able to celebrate it, I just find myself thinking that I am still not where I want to be and that the only celebration I deserve will be at the end. Your post here has reminded me to look how far I have come and appreciate what I have managed to do so far.
Best Wishes

This is a subject I have thought and spoken about recently. The actual act of celebrating oneself seems awkward I guess. You have to claim the success out loud. And ask others to join. And the choice on how to celebrate is yet another effort. Perhaps our lack of esteem for ourselves also says we aren’t worth the effort. We would wait for someone else to celebrate us. I have a hard time with this but hope if I keep it in mind, l will actually enact it.

You may want to consider – what if you don’t claim the success out loud, or ask others to celebrate you, what if you celebrate yourself with just yourself. I’ve found that celebrating yourself doesn’t have to be a full blown out anything, it can be as simple as putting a gold star in your calendar marking the day you did something towards your goal and just seeing it there feels joyful. Have a beautiful day xo
