Hello fabulous you!!! Happy Sunday. Hope you’re well and feeling great!
I love to bring a moment of mindful pause into my day, purposefully being aware of what’s around me. A moment of pause that fills me with joy and a sense of aliveness, awe and gratitude.
Setting the intention to find joy in the simple everyday things, is a great way to let myself drift into a moment that fills me with its magic, taking me out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary of the everyday.

Last week we had an unexpected death in our family. The loss and shock reminded me how fragile life is, and how the precious days that we have can just slip away without notice, without leaving a mark and suddenly it’s a new week, or a month or years later.
I had this practice of setting an intention each day, to find moments in ordinary things that fill me with joy. I don’t know what happened but I’m just now realizing that it’s been about two years since I stopped, and to tell the truth I don’t even know why I stopped.
I don’t want my days to slip by me unnoticed so, I’m going back to mindfully finding and admiring something in the day that brings me joy. The sound of rain. How the rocks on the ground glisten when wet. A tree, a flower, pumpkins, a child laughing. When I find that something that sparks joy inside me, I like to take a photo of it. Sometimes what brings me joy is a sound, a smell or a memory of a wonderful moment from long gone, so there is no photo. But, at the end of the day, I’m grateful for the day and what it had to reveal to me and I’ll note it in my gratitude journal. It’s a way for me to note the days, to have a memory of what the day offered and how it made me feel.
Today I invite you to make a mindful pause part of your daily must and create a positive change in the way you feel.
