Hello fabulous you!!! Happy Sunday. Hope you’re well and feeling great!!!
Lately every place I look the words simplify and slow have been showing up, along with a couple of others. No matter where I look, there they are in multiples, blaring at me to notice them.
I believe that the universe is always giving us signs, and I’m so grateful that I now know enough that, when the universe is trying to get my attention, I listen.
So, I spent some time journaling on this and I realized that I’m still holding on to habits that no longer serve me, for example, in the morning I have a habit of rushing, I have no idea why I’m rushing. I’m retired and unless I have an appointment, I’m free, but I feel like I have to get up by a certain time, and hurry through my morning ritual. Instead of what I really want and that’s to savor that special time.
The other thing is that, I’m not being present and I feel rushed throughout the day. When I go out, I’m rushing to get home. If I’m doing something, I can’t wait to finish. These words are nudges that I need to slow down and be in the moment, you can’t enjoy anything if you’re always rushing off to the next moment.
And I have a tendency to make things so big in my mind, that they become overwhelming , and that stops me from doing anything and stresses me out. Instead of keeping it simple.
Looking at this I see these are old habits that I’m continuing. I think that habits can become so ingrained into our being and become so a part of our every day, that we don’t notice when they are no longer serving us but we’re still in them.
So, I’m taking this as my invitation from the universe to create change for myself. I’m holding on to these words and allowing them to guide me. I am simplifying and slowing down, taking time to breathe, finding the joys the day has to offer. Creating space for myself, giving myself the opportunity to notice what wants to be noticed, and allowing the unfoldment of spiritual bliss to show itself to me.

I love your deliberate thoughtfulness about your life, Masha. It always inspires me:). I was recently packing for a trip and decided to do it a day early–something I never do. That one small gift to myself made the beginning of my trip so much more relaxing. If we keep focusing on the micro-changes, it’ll add up to big change for both of us!
