I don’t know about you but getting inspired and creative has been a real challenge for me this year.
Today I got inspired to photograph these flowers, these are the last of a beautiful bouquet of flowers my granddaughters got me for my birthday and I’m sorry to say, I didn’t take a photo of the bouquet.
Towards the end of last year I bought a watercolor set, fully intending to learn how to use it and so far, I only used it one time with my granddaughter when i first got it. And I have other projects that I was intending to get going on and have done none.
I now decided that for the rest of the year I’m challenging myself to do one creative thing that makes me happy, every day.
How about you, have you been able to be creative, are you doing one thing every day that makes you happy?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings

Love this, Masha! You’re always so positive. I just mentioned to a friend that I think I may try a paint-by-number set. Something about painting like that just calms me . . .

What a great challenge! I’m finding it harder to get motivated to be creative. I’m trying to come up with things to make and my mind is blank. I’m going to work on being creative in different ways and hopefully that’ll get me out of the rut. 🙂 Beautiful flowers! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

I’m sure the original bouquet was beautiful! A wonderful way to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And as for the challenge, I think it’s brilliant. A little more creativity to bring happiness each day sounds like just what the doctor ordered (or should order). I’m not sure I could do each day as I’ve done nothing in so long, but maybe a little creative thing every other day is something I could aim for. I’d love to see what other things you hope to do in the upcoming days, Masha.
I’ve seen another blogger who started with water colours a while ago and I think it took her some getting used to but her doodles and paintings are fab. She does mini ones as it’s more manageable and they’re so cute. It really is such a personal choice as to how you do your art or how you use those paints, we just need to get perfectionistic ideals out of the way first. xx

Well how I look at it is that creativity doesn’t have to be a huge thing every day, it can be something as simple as fixing lunch for myself and arranging the food just so on the plate, making it look pretty, is a creative act that will make me feel happy. I’m hoping to take the biggness (don’t think this is a word LOL) out of creativity and making it more simple and approachable. I’m so happy that you’ve decided to do something even if it’s not every day, it just does so much good for your well-being. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, love to see you here, have a wonderful week ahead xoxo
