As we lose ourselves in the hustle and business of our daily chores – our to do lists, our have to, our work, emails, shopping, our family, exercise, cooking… As we rush to accomplish it all, we don’t pay attention to our breathing and we mostly take shallow breaths. And we do it without thinking. But today, make yourself conscious and become aware of your breathing.
As you go about your day, remember to just – b r e a t h e.
Pause for a moment, and mindfully take in a long deep breath. Let it fill your lungs, and breathe all the way down into your belly, bring it in deep, as far in as you can. Feel it filling your whole body, hold it for a couple of seconds, say thank you in your mind as you fill yourself with this wonderful beautiful air, and breathe out.
Pausing to breathe in mindfully and intentionally will energize you, open your senses, refresh you. It will calm you and bring you to a more harmonious state within.

I needed this right now. It’s been a day of busy-ness and mounting stress and worry, where you feel like you’re drowning in thoughts and things you haven’t yet done. A reminder to breathe, to be present, was very much welcome. I’ll have to set an alarm on my phone with a link to this post for at least twice tomorrow, I think! ♥
