Why You Need to Start Your Day Mindfully

Begin each day mindfully, deciding how you want your day to unfold and allowing for Spirit.

Take a few minutes and sit in quiet solitude, remove yourself from all drama that doesn’t belong to you, and just allow yourself to breathe. Pay attention to your breath. Allow your heart to open to Spirit, to joy, to self-love and to the wonders this day holds for you.

Believe you deserve. Believe you are worthy. Affirm your belonging.  Call in for magick and miracles to show up.mindfully1Before I leave my house I set my intentions for the day.

I begin with asking Archangel Michael for protection, it’s important to ask for protection from unwanted energies that may not serve your highest good.  I ask my angels, spirit guides, my animal spirit guides, all ascended masters and teachers, my ancestors, all who are with me, to help me to be open and allow for Spirit to move through me and out of me.

If I’m going to work I visualize and affirm that everything in my day will work out perfectly for my highest good and that of everyone else.

I bless all the people that I will be in contact with.

I bless every meeting and visualize it all turning out perfectly.  I say, I love everyone and everyone loves me.

I bless the road I’ll be driving on and everyone else who is also on that road.

I visualize everything I need coming to me easily and magically today.

I didn’t always start my day this way.  First thing I did is turn on the news and filled my mind and body with all the negativity that the news carries.  And from day to day I carried over frustrations, and judgements, which occupied my mind from the minute I woke up.  I was filled with negative thoughts that I held on to, of she said, they said, dramas from previous days of who did what wrong to me, and how dare they and, and, and…

But if you are willing to open your mind to something extraordinary and  step into the energy that surrounds you, if you are willing to elevate your self, if you are willing to manifest a sweeter life…if you are willing…all is possible.

Starting your day mindfully sets the tone for the rest of the day.  It sets you up for success, and for brilliant possibilities.  Throughout the day when you can remember give thanks to Spirit and to your team of assistants from the invisible realm,  for helping you today and for your day unfolding in such perfect bliss.

Do you have a daily morning practice you indulge in? Share it in the comments, love to know.

Blessings for a beautiful day.

  1. Beautiful post! Your morning routine really makes me want to take my time when getting ready for the day and set good intentions. I do indulge in some yoga most mornings which definitely has its own set of intentions but I think your practice is a beautiful thing to pick up, especially as I try to get more into the art of manifestation:)

    1. Jess, I agree with you, yoga to start off the day is great, but starting your morning with intention to set your day and visualizing your day, also incorporating the feeling you want to have throughout the day, and how you want it to unfold will help to manifest your desires. This doesn’t take me a long time, sometimes even less than 10 minutes. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤

  2. I begin my day with creativity. My work is of a stressful nature therefore I can begin it in the zone. I will do this for about 30 mins whether it be photography, editing, cooking, it anchors me to the now. I have found this to be be more grounding than sitting meditation, it’s more of an active meditation. I love my habit, my creative flow space. I can then go out to work with good intentions and face life with an open heart.

    1. Janet, I’m the most creative in the mornings, so often I start with taking a photo or writing but I never thought of this as being a form of meditation, and you so right that’s exactly what it is. I can see how this fills you with good intentions and an open heart, great way to set up for the day. Thank you for sharing and for your inspiration. ❤

    1. What a great start to your day Claire. I have that deck I haven’t really started using it on a regular basis and you’re inspiring me to do so. Yes, I do the brain dump too, love it. Thank you for sharing your lovely start of day. ❤

  3. Lovely post, Masha….a beautiful reminder of how I would like my days to begin. Unfortunately, my mornings are busy with family and I don’t have the solitude I need to make this happen. And yes… I know I could get up earlier to greet the dawn, but now that I am retired I cannot seem to force myself to get up any earlier than my body wants to. So, every morning I do my best to start my day with blessings – sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn’t, but your thoughts always help… 🙂

    1. Janet, there are times I can’t get up either and so I just get up whenever, I don’t believe in pushing my body, and there are days I forget too. But now I’m used to getting up a certain time and so I really indulge in this practice. Hope you get to it on some days, it really makes a difference for me. Thank you for your comment, always love to hear from you. ❤

  4. Such a good point about how we start our day because even the things we do on autopilot can be quite damaging for how we feel moving forward that morning/afternoon, such as instantly checking emails or seeing bad news on TV. “Believe you deserve. Believe you are worthy” – such powerful thoughts to remind ourselves of. I know I need to be more mindful in the mornings; before mindfulness was really a ‘thing’, maybe 10 or so years ago when I was working and commuting a fair bit in one of my earlier jobs, I was actually far more mindful. Less stressed, I spent time listening to a little music as I woke up and stretched and looked outside and appreciated stillness, then I focused on a cup of tea and took my time. Couldn’t be more different to how unfocused and not in the moment I’ve become, which I’m sure many others will probably agree with too with stresses in life, social media, technology, the money worries, pressures to constant be ‘doing’ something. Taking time to be mindful especially in the morning can make a huge difference. Brilliant post, Masha!

    1. Caz, there is much written about how to manifest your desires like having more money, or getting your dream job or relationship, and so if we can manifest that, why not our every day, why not decide how our day will turn out? I know how my life was before I learned about living mindfully and how my life is now when I pay attention to it. There are still times when I fall into the email pit and I look at them first thing in the morning and than for the rest of the day I feel like I’ve missed out on a connection with Spirit that I can’t seem to get back. But the one thing I never do is listen to the news. Maybe you can go back to listening to music and having a cup of tea first thing in the morning and spend a few minutes focused on you. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment I so appreciate your input. ❤
