You, My Blog and GDPR

Hello lovely friends,

You may have by now gotten other emails regarding the GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation which was designed to protect internet users from breaches of trust. However, now the GDPR is making giving your data, consent to use your email and other data information optional, requiring websites to inform you within 72 hours of a breach.

So I just wanted to inform you that I’m a blogger and I don’t have an e-commerce site, so this doesn’t really apply. But, I wanted to reach out to you and assure you all that you are receiving this email because you had previously subscribed to my blog giving your consent to receive my emails.

PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT I DO NOT SHARE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH ANYONE.

And you always have the option to un-subscribe from receiving my emails.

Please feel free to get in touch with me for any questions you may have.

As always, I’m very grateful that you’re allowing me to share with you my insights and inspiration.

Blessings,

    1. Hi Claire, no need to feel overwhelmed, you’re welcome to copy what I wrote. I wasn’t sure if it applies to me or not, but i figured can’t hurt, and it reassures everyone that I’m not sharing their email address. I would just post it and be done with it. ❤

  1. Very well worded. I’m confused over all of this, too. I don’t know whether in the UK bloggers need to be registering and paying £35 per year (a total joke, in my opinion) even when they don’t hold details of anyone themselves or sell anything etc. x

    1. I hear you, LOL I’m still confused. But I decided to just post something to let my subscribers know I’m never selling their emails address. Sorry I can’t help you with the registration fee in the UK, I can’t figure that one out.
